Celebrate America's Independence Day at the City of Fort Lauderdale's free 4th of July Spectacular featuring Walker Hayes!

The Independence Day Celebration will feature a patriotic extravaganza in Las Olas Oceanside Park and on Fort Lauderdale Beach, highlighted by a live performance at 7:30 p.m. from country music superstar Walker Hayes, known for hit songs including "Fancy Like," "AA," and "Y'all Life."

The event will also feature additional live entertainment, a kids zone, beach games, contests, family activities, and a dazzling fireworks display. The kids zone provides nonstop energy and excitement with plenty of music, inflatable water slides, face painting, and a variety of other amusing beach games.

As the sun sets, spectators will be treated to a spectacular drone show over Fort Lauderdale Beach beginning at 8:45 p.m., featuring hundreds of illuminated drones creating patriotic images and animations in the night sky.

Immediately following the drone show, the City’s signature fireworks display will light up the shoreline at 9 p.m. This dazzling pyrotechnic finale is an annual favorite for children and adults of all ages and provides the perfect ending to a day of patriotic celebration.

Beach Parking

Beach Parking Lots - $25 Event Rate (Honored until midnight.)

• Las Olas Garage, 200 E. Las Olas Circle

• North Beach Village Parking Lot, 725 N Fort Lauderdale Beach Boulevard

On-Street Parking - $25 Event Rate (Honored until midnight.)

• All on-street parking spaces on the barrier island between Vistamar Street and Fort Lauderdale Beach Park (including Las Olas Circle and SE 5 St between A1A & Seabreeze Blvd)
• All on-street parking spaces on A1A between Sunrise Boulevard and NE 18 Street
• Residential Beach Parking Permits and discount rates are not valid during special events.

Downtown/Offsite Parking Lots

Riverwalk Center Garage, 150 SE 2nd Street

• Registered Residents: $1.50/hour
• Visitors: $3/hour

E. Clay Shaw Lot West, Under the 17th Street Bridge

• Registered Residents: $1.50/hour
• Visitors: $4/hour

Water Taxi

• Runs 10 a.m. to 11 p.m.
• Board prior to 7:30 p.m. to see the fireworks show. The closest stop to the 4th of July Spectacular event is F7 Las Olas Landing, 301 Las Olas Circle.

• Water Taxi is offering a discount rate of $25 for an all-day pass for the July 4th weekend. This pass is valid for one day only, either July 3, July 4, or July 5. Purchase tickets in advance at www.watertaxi.com. 

Traffic Advisory

The following traffic advisory will be in effect for the 4th of July Spectacular. Motorists should expect heavy traffic and are encouraged to avoid the area and seek alternate travel routes or transportation.

• 6 AM - Midnight
  • Las Olas Boulevard between A1A and Seabreeze Boulevard will be closed from 6 a.m. to midnight on Saturday, July 4.
  • Northbound A1A traffic may access turnarounds at Bayshore Drive.
  • Southbound A1A traffic may access the turnaround at 600 Seabreeze Boulevard.
• 8 PM - Midnight
  • Southbound traffic on Seabreeze Boulevard will be diverted to Las Olas Boulevard westbound.
  • Eastbound traffic on Las Olas Boulevard will be diverted south on Seabreeze Boulevard.
  • The turnaround south of the Fort Lauderdale Aquatic Center will be closed.
